So i have been trying for three days now to overclock my AMD Phenom X6 1090T, and i have had no luck.
I have tryed everysingle thing out there. I have tryed putting up just the multiplier, or the freqeuncy, or both.
I havent tryed overvolting because im afraid. But i need your guys thoughts.
I either just get blue screens, or it wont let me boot up..... mabye mobo driver issues? nah......
CPU: AMD Phenom X6 1090T
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5970 2GB
PSU: Corsair 850W
MOBO: GIGABYTE 890FXA-UD7
COOLING: NOCTUA Cooling
Overvolting isn't what your looking for, voltage tweaking perhaps. I recommend reading some guides on overclocking. When done properly there is little risk of significant damage to your cpu. also when overclocking it's important to make sure that your ram stays in spec. Overclocking your ram knowingly or not can by it's self cause you to crash.
Read some guides and come back with results and questions if you have any.
Everything is stock now...
I managed to just put the multiplier to 18x and the frequincy is on 200 (Stock), which means its running at 3.6GHz.
This is the only overclock i could achive.... any hints on mabye turning the voltages up, or the frenquincy???
