Hello guys i bought a system 3-4 months ago now im trying to OC it as a beginner im worried about my core temp on load can you give me any advice about my OC options,my rig or any opinions about my data are appreciated
My system is:
x6 1055t phenom II+Zalman CNPS 10X Extreme CPU Cooler
HIS HD 5850
2X2GB Gold Edition 1600MHz DDR3 CL8 1.65V OCZ
XIGMATEK-UTGARD PURE BLACK EDITION 80PLUS 700W MidT ATX
i will run a longer test with prime 95 later
Not bad! From what I've seen, 1.55 vcore is the max for these processors. Also don't trust the individual core temps in HWMonitor OR the temp displayed on CoreTemp. For Gigabyte boards, go with TMPIN1 and add a few degrees. Max 62c.
I'm getting there slowly. Just got my rig about a week ago. At 3.7GHz stable with no increase in vcore. Had to bump it up from 1.375 to 1.425 to run at 3.85GHz. Still debating how much I want to push it!
wellcome to.. 4Ghz . Phenom II 1055T Vcore 1.53 can get 4Ghz ! it' real for 1055T succesfull, if u wan't Max OC RAM can set 7-9-8-21 1T it's faster than 9-9-9-30, NBfreq 200-2500 (NBfreq 2500 max Score for 3Dmark06 Score )..up up up..
thanks for answers. My ram settings are now 7-9-8-21 and i made a slight change at cpu voltage -0.025 from the one i set before. Is it good for daily use?and is 50c TMPIN1 high? and whats the limit temp of TMPIN2? i did a 8 hour long prime 95 test with the options i mentioned before there wasnt any problem im gonna run a prime test again with if u think a better adjustment plz share with me
why get ddr3 ram just to have it run around 800 mhz, its kind of a oxymoron. also Gigabyte aren't the best to OC but they are possible to. look around you'll see the majority of mobo's being a Asus. Asus is way better to OC the AMD 1055t x6

Beware, long term usage safe voltage for Phenom II x6 is 1.45v, there are reports of failure above this!
