I'm looking at building a new system for ripping burning DVD's. Converting moive to other formats. I will also use this for running VMware images for mock 2003 server network. It's not a gaming system. But I want something that fast.

What do you think?

What's the reason? I would think the Q6600 would be a better choice instead of the Q8300. the 6600 has 2x4mb cache, Multimedia Instructions. Just wondering?

Thanks

that does seem like a nice board. Would the memory "CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel " work in this board?

Thanks

Should be fine.
