    Hi.

Get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303&cm_re=Ripjaws_1600-_-20-231-303-_-Product aren't in the QVL but work at rated speed without problems.

    is anything cheaper?
  4. their is cheaper ram but your are going to start running into stability problems and quality issues...i have the Gskill ripjaws and love em :D
  5. That RAM is under $100 dollar

Do you want something cheap for a $230 CPU, $220 mobo and $170 PSU? That's very funny

    Cheap-crappy RAM

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820144478 Don't wait the best performance with that RAM.
  6. lols. . ok.. thanks. do you think it will go down during bf?
  7. What do you mean?
  8. black friday? do you think they will be on sale
  9. That's almost impossible to say, I don't think so, but if you want, you can wait it.
  10. ahh okay thanks.
  11. The Corsair XMS3 looks good, but with the same price u can go with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231321&Tpk=F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO those ECO series are in the CH IV's QVL.

This Mushkin are in the QVL too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146871

Both G.Skill and Mushkin has good CL, or the G.Skill that I say up is a good option too.

is higher voltage better? for overclocking?

is this ram good? because its specifically made for amd? im using 890fx. will it be faster then something with a timing of 7? does 8 and 7 cas L make a difference?

Finally,!!! OCZ has specifically designed this ram not only for AMD, but specifically for AMD Black Edition CPUs, a lot of the other ram modules were designed specifically for Intel, the Intel designed ram may or may not run at the listed cas rating on every AMD motherboard machine, however the AMD designed ram will run the stated cas specifications on an AMD setup.

You make whatever choice you desire to make it's your money, but don't overlook the $20.00 MIR.

ohh i didnt see the mir. and will it be easier for me when i over clock my cpu?
  16. That really depends on the overclocking route you decide to take as far as my setup is concerned, I ordered a set myself.
  17. ^Let me know how those RAM works, i know some people that had a lot of problems with that AMD black edition RAM and 890FX chipset.
  18. ^ Will Do! Should get them maybe by Friday.
  19. yea been reading the reviews and read about some problems they ran in to. let me know how yours is.
  20. ^ As a general rule OCZ is great memory I've had plenty of OCZ for myself and others and none that I have had have failed and they're all still running, failure does happen with any product brands but some of the reviews for this particular memory from OCZ could be related to the fine print.

The fine print being having to set the memory manually if you did not have the chipsets it mentioned covering, but for me I'm setting my timings manually anyway, the memory I'm presently running was designed for the Intel 775, it runs a higher CAS and higher voltage.

Which means I have memory to fall back on if this memory doesn't pan out, so it probably will pan out, because in life things always seem to work for the best when you have a backup, it's when you don't have a backup things go south.

You've gotten some great memory suggestions in this thread just because my suggestion is AMD based doesn't mean the other suggestions aren't good suggestions, get what you want or you'll regret it later.

No problems with this memory what so ever, I manually set all the timings and voltage and it's running great!
  22. ^Nice, Do your try OC? I'm looking for some RAM 1800 or that can OC without problems...
  23. ^ I overclock my 965BE by raising the multiplier, the memory just needs to be able to run it's advertised speed and cas rating, it's running at 1600mhz, cas8, at 1.65v.
