Wd itb shows 33gb only

i have wd caviar green 1TB model wd10ears . its showing only 33mb in bios and there are to partitions . can any one help me to get my pirtaions back i have important data in this drive

You'll need some kind of partition recovery software. You can try to download and burn Hiren disk http://www.hirensbootcd.net/download.html?ver=11.0 . It has some tools that you need. It allows you to boot from the CD you burned.

I suspect that you have a Gigabyte motherboard, in which case a bug in Gigabyte's Xpress Recovery BIOS has truncated your drive.

Depending on your BIOS version, an easier solution may be to change the boot order of your hard drives (if you have more than one), thus forcing the BIOS to re-examine them. If you are lucky, the BIOS will restore the full capacity of the truncated drive. Once it has done this, you can return to the original boot order without risking a repeat of the problem.
