Hello all members,

I've recently bought a new 4 GB Kit and it's working like charm but I have some problems after overclocking the modules, some crashes happens 2-3 times every 8-10 hours and I think it's because of modules, beside that, I want to check if my modules overclocked correctly or not, I mean I want to have highest performance available on 1600 Mhz and CL 7; so give me advices on overclocking them and reach the high performance, I need a full table of Memory Timings on CL7 to overclock them correctly.

Details:
Modules:

x2 2GB Crucial DD3 Ballistix Tracer @ 1600 (DRAM 800.0 MHz); Unganged Mode (64-bit)
Part Number: BL25664TR1608.16FF
Banks: 8
Ranks: 2
Channels: Dual
NB Frequency: 2000.0 MHz
DRAM Voltage: 1.90

Current Timings:
Note: Both modules overclocked with the same timings and settings.

CL: 7
tRCD: 7
tRP: 7
tRAS: 16
tRTP: 4
tRC: 17
tWR: 5
tRRD: 5
tWTR: 5

tRWTTO: 7
tWRRD: 5
tWRWR: 7
tRDRD: 5

Settings:
Command Rate (CR) Memory Timings Type:
1T
DCT Unganged Mode: Enabled
Power Down:
Enabled
Mode: Chip Select

Tristate CS/ATLVID:
Enabled

Other Hardware:
Mainboard: MSI 790FX-GD70 (Chipset: AMD 790FX)

Thanks,

I know, but know this that the default timings is 8 and I overclocked to 7, although my board load it at 9.

VCore? You mean CPU voltage? It's the default one. My CPU is not BE, so no overclocking; anyway, 1.264 V and Temperature is usually under 50, I can lower that but the sound will be noisy.

Hi Hammet and welcome to Tom's forum.

Do you have the Tracer Blue right? Good choice.

Regarding your inquiry. Those Crucial can run 8-8-8-21-2T @ 1.65V, the rest in Auto (don't change any value). I know because I have the Black model.

If you want CL7, download memtest86+ and test the RAM from boot with 2T, 1T give you more performance but less stability, keep in mind that Crucial rated the RAM as CL8 while the CL7 if for DDR3 1333,so, I think that is a little difficult get those times.

Thanks all, but I still need a correct table of CL 7, also I run at 1T.
First I was thinking about CL6 and I know i can reach it but I don't need that clock, CL7 is enough for me.
So, you suggest to run CL 8 @ 1600 ?
I don't have any problems with overclocking, I want to reach CL 7 @ 1600 to get more performance if I can.

Like I say CL7 is almost impossible with that RAM, and the only way that you can find it is test-fail since the RAM doesn't work the same in all mobos and components.

You can get very good performance with CL8 @ 1600 with 1.65V.

But now both BIOS and CPU-Z show my modules run at CL7 !
Is it wrong?
I set to 7-7-7-21 @ 1.65 right now and it's running very good and thank god no crash.
