I have an i7-920 running at factory 2.67 GHz. I downloaded the Intel Desktop Control Center just to check it out, but when I open it the system becomes jerky and the cursor snaps across the screen. I noticed that the IDCC says my processor's speed is 2.97 GHz, so I assume that it's misreading my i7's speed? Anyone have any thoughts as to how to change that? The multiplier seems to be set right...

Anyone have any similar problems?

Thanks in advance,
Spencer

Use CPU-Z and check what the core speed is.
