K so i have window 7 32bit and I want to get window 7 64 bit.

From my understandings..i have to do a clean install.

I backup my files and I am getting ready to wipe out my harddrive. The problem is i cant boot from the cd drive. I made my cd drive first priority in BIOS boot settings.

Any helps?

Unless the drive is real old, it's not likely just a CD drive.

Try unplugging all your hard drives and CD/DVD drives, except for the one CD/DVD drive with the disc in it. This will force it to boot off the disc, or not at all.

If it's an IDE CD/DVD drive, check the jumper setting.

Try to enable "boot from cd" in your bios settings. Press "DEL" To enter your bios on first booting up. Depending on what bios you have you will find "boot options", "just enable boot from cd" and save your settings, then exit. As long as you have a bootable disc in your drive it will boot from cd then.
