What should I consider in choosing DDR3 1600 memory for:
_GIGABYTE GA-MA785GMT-UD2H AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro
_AMD Phenom II X2 550, HDZ550WFGIBOX

At this time I am considering:
_Mushkin 2 x 2gb DDR3-1600 CL7, 996657
_G.Skill 2 x 2gb DDR3-2000 CL9, F3-16000CL9D-4GBRH

I am looking for best DUAL CHANNEL bandwidth (GB/sec) T1
without a lot of experimental overclocking. I can do BIOS settings
but want settings that work. I plan to buy from Newegg shortly.

So what should I consider and what would be The best DDR3 1600 ?
1.With BIOS auto setup what should I expect ?
(1300 ? T1 ? latencies ?)
2. Clocked to 1600 can I expect dual channel T1 ?
3.What about single sided and double sided: should that be considered ?
4. Do I have the option to add 2 x 2GB more of the same DDR1600
and what problems and results ?
5. What DDR1600 vendor seems best for support in setup ?

Thanks and regards, Den (retired engineer, PC hobbyist)

9/9/09/pm: I was looking for comments on actual experience
with DDR3-1600 or higher on the newer ATI 785G chipset
and with the DDR3 manufactures support.
In the meantime I have done google searches, researched
Newegg reviews and found DDR3 mfgr tech support.
Not much on Google. Newegg Search, ddr3 1600 gets
most reviewed, highest rating, etc. and customer reviews.
Best has been Newegg links to product info and mfgr support
by email and tele. I will report what I find when I finish.

Also I have decided to buy the above system .
(Checkout the reviews and prices for yourself.)
So far I put Kingston at the bottom of the list based on
past experience: presale support for sockets 478, 754, 939; price;
DDR-400, 2 x 1gb, performance compared to Adata & G.Skill.
They all test their modules and some test each kit and still see the RMAs on Newegg reviews. I have to test it myself....no prob if RMA is easy.

First of, do you need DDR3? As articles on TH have shown, the extra expense isn't really worth it.

All DDR2-3 ram is double sided,,AND if you want ram that is going to work out of the box almost guaranteed go for Kingston,,why??,,because they test every stick they sell,,otherwise check with the vendors list on Gigabytes site and go from there..:)
