i there!

I have bought a PC 6 months ago. My PC Specs:
Intel Quadcore Q6600 2,4 GHz
4 GB RAM
Nvidia 8800 gt 512 MB
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit

When I look to my temperatures with Everest Ultimate Edition, I notice that my idle temperature, of my videocard, is 63-64. I'm just watching some youtube video's, chatting, typing a word document.

When I start up and play Call of Duty World At War, my temperature will almost reach the 80, or are 80, but never go across the 80's. I'm playing CoD on very low. (Everything on low)

Is that normal? I'm confused and scared that the videocard will die..

I have a normal (stock?) cooler. I dont want to buy a new cooler cause my mom things there is something wrong with my PC.
Thanks.

Well they do run a little warm, what I did with my Asus 8800gt was to remove the fan and clean off the supplied T I M and slap on some Arctic Silver5 and that includes the passive rad at the back, also I took out one of the card slot covers below the video card in order to let cooler air in..
Anyhow the highest temp on this system now is 32c and that is the WD Hdd 500g,of course it will rise when gaming etc..:)

^ +1, but its very risky taking off the heatsink to apply new thermal paste, sometimes copmanies will void your warranty if you do. 8800GT runs HOT

It is fine for the temps, my passive 8400GS reaches 60C on idle and like 80-90C on load lol, your completely fine. If you want there are aftermarket coolers.
