I'm trying to make sure my that my mobo drivers are updated...

I recently built a brand new gaming rig and ran the driver update programs from Gigabyte.com.tw, but all of my system device drivers still show Microsoft as the provider and 7/1/2001 as the driver date. As I went through the other drivers, I noticed that a lot of them also have Microsoft as the provider when I know that I updated it with the newest one provided by the manufacturer. What gives?

What OS are you using? Most likely you got your current drivers through an MS auto-update, and MS forgot to encode the proper date.

Running Windows XP SP3. I've heard someone else mention that, but even after disabling/uninstalling the Windows drivers and running the manufacturer's driver installer, I still end up with Microsoft 07/1/2001. This is across multiple hardware devices from different manufacturers.
