No Signal

Hello i have a problem please help me whenever i play games launch it after sec my monitor displays no signal but when im in the desktop surfing the net other activities i didn't display no signal help me please thanks guys btw im using 8600GT 256MB DDR3

Sounds like a power issue thats causing over heating please list what make and model your Power supply is along with teh rest of your PC specs.

But last few weeks it runs fine here are my specs, i used the eXtreme Power supply calculator it only requires 245w and another before this problem when i got bored i used paint brush to clean the video card after it works fine but after few days the temps only 60-70c when im playing games but when it is air-conditioned its runs fine when playing its temp. ranging 55c

@mamw93 no my problem is when im playing games my monitor will display no signal
but when im playing @air conditioned its fine what cooler do you recommend for 8600GT 256mb DDR3?

Make sure that any extra power leads are connected to the card. sometimes after cleaning the cabel can be left off of not properly attached. The card will try and draw more power in 3D mode when gaming and if its having to try to hard it will over heat and shut down the card. The extra cooling from the air conditioning is keeping the heat down so the card isnt stopping.
The issue that is causing it is still there though. A 8600GT shouldnt need any extra cooling.

do overclocking the fan speed to the max on the video card will wreck the video card?

As with all things mechanical the faster it works the sooner it will come to the end of its usefull life.
Running the cooling fan at max wont hurt the card and the card will probably last almost as long as it would have done any way. Its not going to directly make the card die, and is better than having the card over heat.

ok thanks but i changed my card now to 9500GT the 8600GT has a problem tried it to another computer same problem
