HOW do I change the resolution on my 1200 presario notebook from 800x600 to 1024x768 without having to scroll to see the whole screen?"

Right click on your desktop and go to Properties. Go to the Settings tab.

I'm not sure but I think he knows how to change his settings. His problem is that his desktop is larger then his screen resolution. I checked on the 1200 and from what I could find the display is XGA so it should run at the res he is asking it too. If his screen is only 800x600 then there is nothing that can be done because that is the max that it will go. What specs are quoted for your screen? If you have an 800x600 screen nothing can be done.
