I currently have a ASUS p5W DH board with a Intel E6600 CPU thats a 65nm sized chip. The board seems to be on its last leg, I already lost a SATA port.

All I see when looking for a 775 list 45nm support. Does anyone know if there are still production boards that can handle a 65nm chip?

Solution
45nm support just means the BIOS will recognize and properly handle the newer 45nm chips. Your old 65nm should still work fine in any of these boards.

The issue was always would an existing board support a newer CPU. I don't believe you will have issues of newer boards not supporting older CPUs.
