Hi there,

I recently purchased the Nexus FF-120.

Now I was wondering, what is the proper way to install it on the sidefan of my CM690?
I currently have it like this (left to right from photo):

Grill 1 > CM 690 Case > Fan > Foam > Grill 2

I can imagine no dust coming into my PC, but this way all the dust probably builds up inside the fan itself? Also, I don't like having that first grill on the outside of my cm690 case.

How should I go about this?

Thanks for reading.

I've used a similar setup on a previous PC for the CPU fan.
that design was meant to allow quick replacement of the foam; You're supposed to attach #1 to the fan, then the foam, then snap #2 onto #1

for a case fan that draws air in, if you want to protect the fan as well you're probably better off just sandwiching the filter between the case and the fan (forget about the grills)...
