Hi, just a quick question:

I want to upgrade to a GeForce GTX 260 and want to know of my current PSU can handle it. It's an Antec Neo Power 500W, and it has 3 +12V rails each 17A for a total of 51A.

On newegg for EVGA's 260 it say requirements are:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130433

Minimum of a 500 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 36 Amp Amps.)

Seems like the +12 Volt requirement is fine but is just barely meeting the 500W requirement too sketchy?

I would appreciate an opinion! :hello:

Yes, you are fine with that PSU but you only have 38a total on the +12v rail(s) not 51a. You cannot simply add the rails to get the total but rather each rail is capable on handling 17a as you noted.
