I've built a machine using the MSI 790FX-GD70 with the Phenom 955 BE and 8GB of Mushkin RAM. When starting it up, everything looks normal. I see the MSI splash screen, then it'll go to the Microsoft XP screen for a split second, flash the blue screen of death for literally a fraction of a second and then auto-reboot.

I've gone into the BIOS to confirm that both the CPU and memory are being properly recognized and receiving the proper voltage. I've also swapped out various hard drives, video cards, etc..., to see if I could pinpoint the problem.

Anybody have any suggestions or run into a similar issue?

It looks like the LED posting that I get immediately before the auto-reboot is "44", which of course, is not listed in the manual.

when you swapped did you format the hdd? whats ur psu? just so you know, you prolly wouldnt get into bios without your cpu recognized, though i may be mistaken

forgot to add: had that board and loved it, the oc knob is pretty convenient and works quite well, though i ditched it for a x58 p6t deluxe v2
