Hi

Just to apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum for this thread/question.

The fan on my old Thermaltake Vulcano 11 cooler has become too noisy to be around, especially when it is running above 4000 RPM. It's an 80mm fan with adjustable speed (RPM) so that I keep it at low RPM for now. My CPU is an old Athlon Xp 2600+.
Saw an 80/120mm adapter on ebay the other day and got the idea to use one of those adapters in combination with a decent 120mm fan.

Is there any specialized CPU replacement fan that I can buy, or will a good case fan with similar characteristics (air flow, same power, etc.) do the trick.

Any advice/suggestion is welcome.

Thanks for your advice(s) i4yue. I am planning on getting a new computer, eventually :) but also on keeping the old one. Unfortunatly newegg.com does not ship items to my country :( so I will try to find this cooler elswhere.
