After uninstalling Winamp (v1.0b) I find that I can't play wma files which
unfortunately includes all the ringtones on my O2XDAII. If I reinstall
winamp I can play them OK again and my ringtones come back. Is there any way
to restore the file association for wma files?
Cheers

I would get PHMRegedit and take a FULL SYSTEM backup, then a registry
backup. If you ignore this advice it's your ass.
Once you've done that, uninstall Winamp and open the registry editor.
Now navigate to this key :
\HKCR\WMVFile\Shell\Open\Command
If the key doesn't exists, create it. The type is REG_SZ (it should
have a small icon like a piece of paper with ab on it)
Now enter the following string for the value of the key :
wmplayer.exe %1
Next, below that should be a key set for WMWebFile. Again go to the
\Shell\Open\Command key and enter the type as REG_SZ, as before. The
value of this key should be
wmplayer.exe -w %1
There's several other keys too : WVXFile\Shell\Open\Command should
read
wmplayer.exe %1
If those values are already set, then you need to check the file
association with the file types : Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and check
these keys correspond to the specified values below :
