I am using Intel 865 GSA motherboard with 512 MB.

With Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.8GHz 2.79GHz.

I want to upgrade my motherboard keeping my Processor Same.

Reasons for upgrade:
1. Want to use DDR2 RAM which is much cheaper & faster than DDR1.

Requirements:
1. Should support upto 4 GB RAM.
2. Should have provision to connect a sound card (Creative Xtreme Gamer)
3. Should have provision to connect a Graphics Card.

Currently using OS Windows 7.
Will Intel DG41TY suitable for me (Compatible to my Processor)

The Intel DG41TY is not compatible with a Pentium D 820. Your can't rely on sites like Newegg to determine if a motherboard is compatible; always visit the manufacturer's site to make sure.

It will be difficult to find a new motherboard supporting that CPU. Are you looking for a micro-ATX motherboard with on-board video or would an ATX motherboard meet your requirements?

Micro-ATX motherboards that should be compatible (and inexpensive):
- ASUS P5KPL-CM
- GIGABYTE GA-EG41M-US2H
- GIGABYTE GA-G41M-ES2L

ATX motherboards that should be compatible
- ASUS P5Q SE
- GA-EP45-UD3L
