What to buy for 1440x900 resolution?

Should i buy a 4890 or a 4850 x2?

im also buying a 610wpc power psu or 750w one..

my mobo is ga ep45 ud3r (1 pcie x16 2.0 slot)
c2d e8400
vista 64bit
250gb hard drive


i game at 1440x900

i will upgrade to a better monitor in like 4-5 months

I agree with boonality, you should first consider at what resolution you plan to be gaming, and then decide what graphics card you want. And indeed, the 4890 is more then powerfull enough, I'd even advise to just go for the 4870 if 1440x900 is what you are going to be running.

well i have a 1440x900 19" monitor and i am also planning on upgrading both video card and monitor, i plan on buying the 4890 within the next month or so.

Well, seeing as you're going to upgrade your videocard now, you might as well go for the 4890, which will be enough to play games at a high resolution, though it's also an option to go for a low budget card (I dont know what you have right now), something like a 9800GT for about $100, and then upgrade again when you buy a new monitor.

Do not get it. I think the Extreme Power series is overrated by 100w and have less than 70% efficiency. Oh and it has two 12v rails which can give a max. output of 18A each. That's a max. 36A. The Corsair VX450 gives 33A. Ha! The VX550 gives out 41A. Better get a Corsair HX620 or TX650.
