i want to convert VHS tapes to the PC with good quality. Wouldnt a PCI TV card solve the problem and convert both video and audio data? becuase the retailer told me only a video covertor card would do that?
Also, if how can I make sure the card would be compatible with my mobo?
so long as its the right slot and the drivers are compatible with your OS it shouldnt be an issue. and id assume the TV tuner card would work so long as the VCR hooks up properly. As to quality, I doubt it would look or sound very good. Im thinking they ran at 320x240 resolution so that wouldnt look good on most monitors.
