Do you have a missing ntldr error when starting xp?
Are you in recovery console and want to copy from Win cd to c:\ but can't find the files?

I don't know if there is a backup of the files in Windows ( maybe Dll cache, Repair, Service pack files folders?)
But it should be on your CD in I386 folder. I think it's archived and it has another extension. You need the expand command at the recovery console, then replace the files. :hello:

insert whe windows xp cd in the drive now whe the message comes ntldr missing type this on ur screen

1."c:" then enter
2."cd windows"
3. "chkdsk/r"

thats all the file will auto copy in the drive or if will be locate in system32 u just go to system32 after windows drive

1."c:" then enter
2."cd windows"
4. "chkdsk/r"

the error message shows where the file is located ... ex. c:\windows\system32\windlr.dll is missing u just go on to that directory which file is missing..
