SSD - The Performance Upgrade of the Future
CPU ID and other OS software says my multiplier is set at 6 when it should actually be 8.5 The bios says its at 8.5. Anyone else had this issue?
This is normal when the CPU is idle. Please read http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ [...] ultiplier.
EIST (SpeedStep) is enabled. Under light loads, the CPU speed is cut back to 6 times the FSB frequency.
Would disabling the speedstep increase the performance? Thanks
Not really, but it will increase your electricity bill.
