Will an ASUS Rampage II Extreme motherbaord fit into an Antec P183 case, even though the motherboard is 1 inch longer than the standard ATX form factor?

Will the Rampage II Extreme fit into a Coolermaster Sileo 500 case? This website shows it uses the RIIE with the Sileo 500, but if you look at the pictures the motherboard does not look like an RIIE at all. The color scheme is completely wrong compared to Newegg pics, the PCI slot layout is different, etc. Is the rbmods.com website incorrect, did they make a typo for the parts they used on their testing rig, or what? I hope someone can confirm this for me.

Edited: Changed thread title, added Sileo 500 questions.

I went through 200+ Newegg reviews, and found these cases were used by reviewers:

Cooler Master HAF 922 ATX case
Antec 900
Antec 1200
Thermaltake Spedo Advance Case,
Chassis= Lian Li PC-A70B Black Full tower
COOLER MASTER Stacker 830 Evolution (with some slight modification for my V8 Cooler)

Case: Antec p180

Thermaltake Xaser III Supertower (I love my old case!)
Alienware 2.0 case
Thermaltake Armour 8000B Case
Alieanware 2.0 ATX Case with AlienFX lightying System
-Custom Coolermaster Cosmos 1000

BTW, there were a lot of failures reported, and a LOT of folks who said this board aint for rookies.

Here's a picture of an ATX board installed in a P183 . . . you can judge for yourself I think;

Thanks for the response. I'm guessing it won't fit. I want to make sure because it's for my first build.

I guessed there was more than an inch there. But it is just a guess.

Interesting...I've tried seeing if anyone has fit the Rampage II Extreme into a P183, but I haven't found any posts or articles.

Seems like a lot of people who have this mobo use it in a full tower E-ATX case, instead of squeezing it into a mid-tower standard ATX case.

Wow, thanks for going through all that Twoboxer. I looked through some reviews myself too, I added some cases to your list. I assume since the RIIE fits into the P180, it'll do fine in a P183. Btw, did you see that Sileo 500 link I edited into the original post? Since the mobo colors in the picture are so off, could it be a pre-production model or something?

So far I haven't seen anyone say their case is a perfect fit for the RIIE...either the case expansion slots are too low/high and you lose a PCIx16 slot (HAF 932), the mobo covers up cable management holes (Antec 1200), etc.

For the board, I did notice a lot of people had "cold boot issues", but for the people who get it working they loved it. I just hope I get a good one. Yea it's not a board for rookies, but I'm slowly learning and I hope when I get my parts friends and forums can guide me in the right overclocking direction.
