hey ppl

need your help! i'm planning on getting a new pc but don't know if its worth forking out for an i7. i'm not a major gamer. my gaming is usually the odd nfs or sport games. so was wondering if an i'll feel the difference between a regular quad core and an i7. was also wondering if i can go ddr3 with a core 3 quad.

thanks

an i7 will smash a core 2, but if you don't want to fork out the cash, the i7 LGA1156's come out in September and that will be about $50-100 cheaper than the i7 1366 build and have a .133ghz speed advantage.

+1.

An overclocked Core 2 Quad can take you for a while. Then all you have to do is upgrade your video card!
