Lets Free Up Some Space! How Much Space do you have Left?

The title says it all.

What is the sum of your total hard drive space on you main computer externals + internals? And How Much Space do you have left?

I have 1.2tb total and currently have under 1gb free! That is what inspired me to start this thread.

Good Luck freeing up my hard drive, as I need everything on it

i have a server with 2.5TB of space and my gaming tower has a 750GB, so, i have about 500GB free on the desktop and about 1TB free on the server (declining fast though) for a total of 1.5TB free

Honestly, I just got a WD Green 1TB, plus I have 2x 500GB free on my server comp. So, Yeah I'm set for a long time, I barely ever use a whole 80GB HDD. 2TB is crazy, lol.

Care to explain what things you have saved on your HDD? That's more than enough for all the pr0n in the world, I envy you.

I do hd video editing, web designing, programing, run multiple operation systems, photoshop and ect, plus I have literally thousands of programs, pictures, movies, tv shows and hundreds of games on my hard drives! It make me dizzy just thinking about it. And the scary thing is that I have only had this computer for 4 months (with these particular hard drives), I need to get two more terabyte hard drives to keep moving very soon

In that case, by all means, let us clean our hard drives!

I've got 2.1Tb free - a little overkill really. Might be to do with the currently empty 4x 500Gb RAID array....

Anyway, you are going to need to free up space for your system to function in any useful manner.

Add some new HDD's maybe set up RAID 0 to get optimal throughtput, but make sure you have a good back up system.

Yes, I need to get some new Hard Drives pronto!
How does two Western Digital Black Hard Drives Sound? I was thinking of maybe running them in raid 1 or is a better to run them in raid 0 and back up to a large external as most of my data is priceless to me.

I have to provide explanation of my space-
My new desktop has a single 640GB drive, my NAS has a pair of 640GB drives(mirrored). Except for the OS, everything else on the desktop drive gets mirrored to the NAS. I have a pair of 250GB USB drives that I use to backup my data. I have a couple of laptops but nothing really gets stored on them that isn't already on the NAS.

I thought I was the only one with WAY to much extra space…

I blame my 750+ gig free space on Raid 0 plus the external 1TB Esata storage.

If I could go back I would just buy like three 100 gig drives and Raid 0 + the External storage.
