Hello

I'm looking to upgrade my system

All the parts will be put into the NZXT Tempest case that I have now and im wondering if anyone has ideas for parts which I can get the best value from.

I am an occasional gaming but I like to multitask and use photoshop cs3 and cs4.

Here are my ideas

-EVGA 132-BL-E758-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58
-Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz
-CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W
-CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB)DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)
-COOLER MASTER Hyper N 520 RR-920-N520-GP
-Vista Home Premium 64-Bit OEM
-Seagate Barracuda ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA (Dual-Boot Vista/Ubuntu)
-EVGA 512-P3-1150-TR GeForce GTS 250 512MB GDDR3

*I have a separate HDD for games/programs and an external hard drive for music/photos

I want to keep it as close to 1000 as possible. Also, does anyone has any ideas about my PSU. I want to be able to support future power hungry GPUs/CPUs. I will also install a second set of memory eventually

My parts look very semilar to yours, I think for your setup go for 750wat if your planning on overclocking.

Btw when I installed my parts in the tempest the 8 pin motherboard might be a problem cause of the cables going from bottom to top of the motherboard.

The one I had was corsair 750w and it was just right.

Also to save you on some costs you can get windows 7 freely, get the latest build its faaaaast.

Does anyone have the 250 GTS?
I'm looking for the best performance to cost ratio preferably under 150
(It's 140 at newegg with free call of duty)

I actually haven't gotten a DVD to install Windows 7 yet =[

I've looked around and I haven't been able to find a decently priced modular 750+ watt PSU for future upgrades. Any ideas?
If not I will go for the 750 Watt. It doesn't cost much more.

http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=26415&vpn=CMPSU-750TX&manufacture=Corsair&promoid=1019 $116.46 USD

And the GTS 250 should perform similar to the 9800gt's but alot cooler and less power dependent.

http://ncixus.com/products/36772/513-P3-1150-TR/eVGA/ is $125

And to get the latest windows 7

search for:
7057.0.090305-2000_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GB1CULXFRER_EN_DVD
On your google if you want the 64bit edition ;)

and here is where you can get the cd key for windows 7
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/beta-download.aspx

P.S. Look into the gtx 260's with the 216 cores much more preferred then the 250, or you can wait for the 275's to come out and that should bring down costs of the 250.

I already downloaded Windows 7 and have my product key. I have just been to lazy to go out and buy a DVD lol

Does anyone know where I can get a 1366 TRUE CPU cooler?

Oh and yes I will be using the 64-Bit edition.
My desktop has 8GB ram and my notebook has 6GB :pt1cable:
