Just had a quick question. Rampage Formula uses the X48 chipset which supports both DDR2 and DDR3 memory but most of the specifications for this board points only to DDR2. Probably because it's their standard. Just wondering if anyone is running a Rampage Formula successfully with DDR3. Don't wanna have to buy a new mobo to get to the new i core intel CPUs.

1: your board is DDR2, officially supports up to DDR2-1200 with OC
2: even if it had DDR3 slots, you still wouldn't be able to upgrade to the core i3, i5, or i7, these use a different socket (LGA 1156 and LGA 1366
3: intel is not making anymore new cpus (besides just low powered versions of ones out) for LGA 775

and please don't try to just "shove" DDR3 into DDR2 slots, they are physically imncompatible (aka the key for the slot is in a different position)
