Someone build me a the best PC you can for $1800. Needs to be high-def video (AVCHD format) editing first, gaming second.

Total: $1816 with shipping, -$60 MIR=$1746. That will play any game on a 24" monitor. If you don't need the Blu-ray drive then you can take that out and save $200, but I figured you might for your Video needs. If you don't then you can upgrade to a GTX 295 instead.

Thanks much! I'd need a Blu-ray drive... I have a Sony HD camcorder. I may stick with the 285 and upgrade to i7 to 940.

the 940 only has like one extra multiplier, I wouldnt pay that much more just for one more multiplier besides the 920 you can over clock it ;)

+1 its actually 2 extra multipliers, 22x vs 20x, and its definitely not worth $200 extra. Just bump the FSB to 150 from 133 (3.0ghz) and you will have better performance for free, and you won't have to change any other settings (maybe change the multiplier on the ram).
