Okay.. im wondering what makes these cards so damn good.. and why they are expensive.

It just doesnt make sense.. a 576 Mhz GPU? i dont get it and ddr3 ram? TELL ME WHY!!!

But i have seen ATI cards with like... 800 cores and 1000 mhz gpu

You can't compare ATI "cores" to NVidia "cores", the architecture is different and they perform differently. DDR3 is made up for by a bigger interface size, and ATI cores are in 5 packs and perform differently than NVidia cores. Thus, compare performance numbers, not specs to determine the best card for you.

Umm... i think when u said 5 packs is that 5 cores is 1 core compared to Nvidia.

If so, then Nvidia has more cores.

Backup Evidence:

Best ATI G. Card : ATI Radeon 4870 x2
cores: 1600

1600/5 = 320 cores compared to Nvidia's cores (i dont know if this is true)

And

Best Nvidia G. Card : Geforce GTX 295
cores: 480

So Nvidia Beats ATI.

Nvidia - 480 Cores compared to ATI - 320 Cores
