just bought the motherboard from gigabyte 2 days ago, does anybody know how i can find out what bios version it shipped with wanting to put the phenom ii x2 545 into it but am unsure which bios version it has

I would say the only way to know is to boot it up, I believe it should boot with that cpu even with release bios, then you could flash new bios after.

It should say on the box where the model and revision number are, otherwise you have to check the boot screen.

ok, found it, the bios was not correct but i had another proc to use so it worked out in the end, thx for the answers
