Just a few questions.

I had bought my 6GB set which serial name goes under TR3X6G1600C8D and has intel xmp profile latencies of 8-8-8-24 @ 1.65V Vdimm.

Now I didn't notice that there was another set I could of purchased (TR3X6G1600C7D) which had tighter timings on the intel xmp profile latencies going at 7-7-7-20 @ 1.65 V Vdimm and only a 10 dollar diffence.

Is there really a huge difference between the two when considering performance?

Could I manually adjust the latencies myself to match the intel xmp profile that the C7D model (without harm) has without having to exchange them?

If anyone could educate me on this that would be great. Thank you.

Until someone corrects me, I think the following formula can be used:

8 vs 7 ... speed difference is +1... 1/8 or 12.5% increase.

Can't answer about changing the profile, maybe an OC person will jump in.

Thank you for the reply, could anyone else enlighten me on ocing the memory any further than what the xmp profile states on my current version of the dominator ram it would be appreciated.

In real world performance you'll never notice the difference with the naked eye.
