I bought a new system which supposedly arrives tomorrow with the following key parts -

AMD Phenom II X3 720
BIOSTAR TFORCE TA790GX 128M AM2+/AM2
G.SKILL HK 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB
CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W
LIAN LI PC-7B plus II Black
Pioneer Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X

but I didn't get a video card, expecting that I would get one from from the kids at college, but they have exams and sent me money instead. I was going to go for a 4830 as I'm not too big of a gamer but I see that this HIS 4850

is pretty cheap now and has a free game in the genre that one of the kids likes to play. Is that a good match for what I ordered? Thanks

What size monitor do you have? If it's 22" or less, that GPU should work fine for you. I would definitely stick with an ATI GPU since the motherboard and PSU you chose will both support crossfire if you need it down the road. A 4850 would complement that build nicely!
