I changed my screensaver settings on my XP machine and my wallpaper disappeared.

Under Display Properties the file name for the image (a jpeg) is displayed and checked, but the preview shows a blank blue screen, and a search of the hard drive for the file returns no results. the wallpaper image has either been deleted or renamed. This apparently occurred the instant I changed my screensaver settings.

It's a little freaky.

Can anyone help?

Have you tried to restore to a date prior to the change ?

Maybe the Theme changed along with the Screensaver if it was a slightly non-standard one.

Try reverting to the Windows XP Theme and if your wallpaper doesn't come back, look in the Recycle Bin for it.
