hi guys, i recently purchased a rig and i got me an asus p5kpl am-ps mobo, but it got me thinking if ever i decide to upgrade my ram to 8gb from my existing 4gb. what motherboard can you recommend? is it true intel boards are weak compared to asus/asrock?
you can probably go asus or gigabyte.. after that is the likes of msi, evga, dfi.. then theres asrock, ecs, foxconn, etc.. this is just in my opinion..
No. Intel boards tend to be very stable, high quality boards. They historically just have not been good overclockers.
True, but the the Q8200 doesn't overclock anyways so sounds like a perfect match.
So you want to buy a new motherboard just so you can upgrade your ram? I dont think that would be money well spent since 4gb is plenty for most users and gamers.
