Which AMD Quad Core should i use????

hey so i was originally going to get the AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz which is 189.99 at newegg.com

But then i found the AMD Phenom II X4 810 2.6GHz which is 139.99

so the first one is faster...but can't i just oc the second one and get equal or faster performance?

You could OC it, but the benefit of the 940 is more cache. It has 2mb more (6 total)

i would recommend the 810, the 810 can work with am2+ and am3 whereas the 940 cam only use ddr2 so any future upgrade to ddr3 u can stick with the 810 but ull hav to chuck the 940 if u do. ull be able to oc the 810 to 3.0, or further and ull hardly miss the 2mb of cache.

o ya you are right...so the 810 would be a much better choice. thank you
