hahaha sorry was in a hurry "i7-920 or i7-930" :D

What one of does CPU's can overclockes best on a "ASUS P6T Deluxe V2" ?

and can they even get overclocked on "Sabertooth x58" ?

thank you :)

Either one will reach about the same OC.
I would pick the 930 if the price is close. The 930 will have the better D0 stepping, and a slightly higher initial multiplier.

The sabretooth, or any X58 based motherboard can overclock either processor to any sane level.

If there isnt a large price difference, get the i7 930, higher speeds can be attained for oc, or simply the stock speed is higher than the i7 920.
if prices differ greatly stick with the i7 920.

what one would you guys take the Sabertooth or the Deluxe v2 ? and i see that you got the Deluxe "geofelt... whats the difference between does 2 ?

I have the original P6T deluxe. It came with a SAS controller which I, and perhaps many, do not use, so I think it has been discontinued. It also has some features like pata device support , extra sata controller, and express gate( a bios based linux web interface/os) wall of which I don't need.

Today, current motherboards will have usb3.0 and 6gb sata, both of which might be useful when you get devices that will need that speed.

I like the sabretooth, primarily for the 5 year warranty.

so you would take the Sabertooth ?

but its just i can't find some one that has been overclocking the i7 930 :S and on the sabertooth

I don't think there is a X58 motherboard out there that can't OC the 930 to decent speeds like 3.5 to 3.8 with a minimum of fuss.

For my P6T deluxe and a 920, I only changed the BCLK from 133 to 160 giving a 3.4 OC leaving all other knobs on auto.
