Well I have seem some stuff on the web that the 4830 is not overclock able right now threw the 9.4 drivers anyone found anyway around this or is it just a driver thing they need to fix?
I can setup mine to what ever and test custom clocks will just set there for hours and never change anything verified in gpu-z.
I just bought a MSI 4830. It came with MSI's Version of CCC. I installed it, unlocked the overclocking and ran the self test to let it find its own settings. It maxed out the clock at 700Mz and it locked up when the memory got to 1160Mz. I restarted it and left the clock at 700Mz, reset the memory to 1100Mz. I seemed to run good for a while with BF2. Had some crashes and reset the mem to 1000Mz. Still had some crashes. I think the driver might be week, the .NET 2 gave me some conflicts when it loaded or I am pushing it to hard. I have tried Tray Tools and Riva Tools but no luck so far.
I got the Force3d 4830 and used catalyst 9.5 to push it all the way to 650mhz clock and 1000mhz memory with no issues. Been trying to use ATI Tray Tools to up it some more but i'm rather new to overclocking so dont wanna play around too much, rather satisfied with what i have
