Remove write protect on rw discs

Hi , I have popped in a disc which my system reads as a RW disc, but when I right click and hit format the screen advises this disc is write protected, Is there a way to overide this?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you mean format it and use it with drag & drop files like you do a normal hard drive? If so you may need a UDF packet writer software depending on the OS you are using.

If you just want to blank it, use the erase disk option in whatever burning software you are using.
