I upgraded to XP 2600 and I still can't play my old dos games with sound blaster support, is creative going to address this with their live release later this month?

I was using 2k before and this was unacceptable for a old school gamer like myself (there are some emulators for nt/2k online but I could never get them to work properly), I'm thinking of going all the way back to ME.
My soundblaster live spdif output didn't even work under 2k due to driver restraints or something. Now my ati tv tuner doesnt work under xp with my nvidia card.. geez.
