Cache matching in raid arrays

Hello, I am replacing both HDDs in my Cavalry Raid 1 array. Currently they are each 1 TB 16 mb Cache. (iTunes library) I am planning on populating the new HDDs from a WD MY BOOK Essential Edition that I have as an extra back-up. It is also 1 TB with 16 mb Cache. Here is the question - what if I purchase new 1 TB HDDs for the Cavalry with 32 or 64 mb Cache. Will the Raid still work properly with the downloaded music from the 16 mb HDD?

  1. No need to match cache sizes - in fact you can use completely different drives if you want (although it's best to stick to drives of the same capacity in order to avoid wasted space).
