LGA 1336 stock heatsink on an LGA 775?

I'm not very knowledgeable on cooling, so I need some help.

The heatsink on my old computer (LGA 775) is broken, so I want to buy a new universal heatsink for my new computer (LGA 1366), then put the stock heatsink from my new computer in my old one. Is this possible or is it not compatible? Will the holes on the motherboard line up properly and whatnot?

The distance between mounting holes is
LGA 775 ---- 70mm
LGA 1366--- 79mm

BTW delluser... i was wondering if its true the mounting holes are the same for 1156 and 1155... I havent seen the new board yet but from what i'm reading they are the same...
