So I built a system a couple weeks ago with the following specs.

Antec 900 Two
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R
Core i7 920 @ stock 2.66ghz
Zalman 9700

Well my temps with BOTH the stock HSF and the Zalman 9700 are identical. That doesn't sound right to me. Shouldn't I be getting lower temps of about 5-10 degrees with the Zalman? Ive reseated the heatsink 3 times already with no difference.

Ideas?

are those temps you are talking about at load or idle
