Need Help Connecting Front Pannel in CM 690 to Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3

Hey everyone,

This is my first computer build. I already went through wiring everything together inside the case but The computer just wont seem to power on. I've come to the conclusion that I might just be plugging in the front panel( Power button, USB ports, etc.) to the wrong place. The case manual and the motherboard manual are extremely confusing and I just really have no idea where to go from here.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Case : CM 690
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3
CPU : Intel i5 2500k
GPU: EVGA Geforce 560 ti 448 cores
Memory: 8 gb DDR3 Vengeance (2x4)

I have the same case and love it. The system will boot up without the usb, audio, and firewire connected to the front ports. A quick check to see if its the power or reset switch connections, you could jump the pins on the motherboard header labeled as power with a jumper or paperclip or screwdriver and see if the board powers up. There are many things that could be preventing it from starting. Find a troubleshooting guide online and get reading.
