I'm trying to connect to my desktop which is running Windows 7 RC1 from my laptop which is running XP Pro. I can connect when the computers are on the same network(using the local ip address), but i cant connect when they're on separate networks(using the public ip address).

I'm using AVG8 on both computers, but I disabled them just to try out every option. I also allowed both ports 80 and 3389 on the AVG firewall and on my router.

How can i solve this problem?
