Just installed an AMD 550 on a gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H MB. I set up everything correctly with a 600 w psu. The cpu and system fans will spin no boot. Monitor says no input. Either Card isn't working or HD is starting?

There is an 8 pin 12 V on MB that i have nothing to plug into it? Does that need to have a power supply to get proper boot-up?

lol yeah. That's covered on page 23 of your motherboard manual. It doesn't tell you to use the 4-pin if you don't have a 2x4pin.

Thanks !! And a slight correction if I may so bold. Page 24 gives me a great explanation of why I will not boot up. No CPU power. Thanks again for the reply!
