Drive Not Detected

hello,
i have a 250gig wd ide hard drive, i bought my hard disk brand new and used it for 2 months and suddenly when i open my computer my hard disk is not detected. i have lots of files in my drive so plz kindly help me solve this problem of mine..... thanks

Anyways, is it not showing in the BIOS or just in Windows?

no sir, my hard disk was not detected in the BIOS even in windows, but when i open my computer i observed my drive disk is running. what do you think sir would be the problem?
