im stuck getting past 2.65 i cant get no farther changing voltages or anything. i think its my ram. heres my setup
e6300 oc to 2.65
4gb ram eachn stick is rated for 400 mh each
9500gt GPU
biostar gf7050m7 MOBO
thermaltake v1 cpu cooler
500 watt PSU

im thinking that the ram cannot keep up. what do you guys think. i plan on upgrading to a decent asus MOBO with 2 more slot of ram. do you think if i added more ram like say a total of 8gb each at each at 400mhz or what evers better. thank you

If you have your BIOS settings for the memory section set on Auto, that is probably limiting your over clock.

If your memory settings are on auto, your memory is probably running at (2.65/1.86)*800 or DDR2-1140 speeds.

You need to find a setting gives you a memory clock twice the FSB freq for an FSB:RAM raio of 1:1.

i have tried that too. i even tried the latencys of the ram. would you think my raisingf it up would help. if you go on you tube and search "e6300 overclocked" exactly like that my video is the second one. it has a video near the end that shows cpu-z if that helps

It's probably your motherboard that's at fault here... Also, what brand of RAM do you have? Try putting your ram latency at 5-5-5-18 and increase the ram voltage 0.2+ or 0.3+
