i see in the video card charts some ATI card names with CF and some Nvidia card names with SLI- does this mean that these entries represent 2 video cards together instead of the single one?

i am also looking at the graphics card hierarchy chart and i am wondering how i can make an accurate comparison between my current setup (2x BFG GeForce 7800GTX 512MB Overclocked SLI) and a couple of other cards listed- the Radeon HD 4670 and GeForce 9800GT.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

Is this for an upgrade you are planning or just curiosity? If it`s for an upgrade please give us the rest of your specs including PSU and monitor size.

Do n`t go by Toms charts, they are notoriously inaccurate, apart from this:

And are you looking to compare your rig against the listed cards in SLI/CF or as single cards?

i'm just asking out of curiosity for now, with the possibility of an upgrade later on.

i'm looking to compare the video card setup i have now against the cards listed as singles cards only.

Neither single card will be an upgrade, they`ll both be slower.
What are the rest of your specs though?
